Hailing from Croatia within the European Union, our seasoned chess trainer brings a classical approach to the game, emphasizing patient and logical play from the opening to the endgame. With nearly four decades of involvement in the world of chess, he has amassed a wealth of experience and insights that enrich his teaching and playing style.

Beyond his chess passion, he holds a background as an electronics engineer, complemented by his role as a programming developer analyst in a prestigious bank corporation. This unique blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking defines his multidimensional approach.


His journey is a testament to his dedication, as he boasts the esteemed title of Grandmaster since 2005 and reached a remarkable Elo rating of 2602. He clinched the title of Croatian champion in 1994 and proudly represented his country in international tournaments, including the Olympic Games of 1998 and 2000, as well as the European Championship in 1997. His commitment extends to team competitions in Croatia, Austria, and Germany, where his friendly disposition and team spirit shine through.


As a chess mentor, his mission is to nurture students' playing strength and guide them to approach the game as a logical continuum, from openings through middlegame to the endgame. His teaching philosophy is deeply rooted in classical chess education, imparting timeless principles.


Beyond his chess prowess, he is a proficient computer scientist, programmer, and analyst. His teaching methodology involves a personalized approach, catering to individual needs and providing ample materials for self-study. Notably, his expertise shines in openings like 1.e4 as White, and 1...d5 and 1...e5 as Black – openings that have been his mainstay throughout his chess career.


Modern and adaptable, his lessons are conducted through Skype or Zoom, with screen-sharing facilitating engaging interactions. He meticulously provides comprehensive materials post-lesson to ensure students' continued growth.
